Refrigeration Training

Need to learn more about refrigeration?

We are excited to launch our latest range of Refrigeration training from The Clean Cooling Academy.

Refrigeration plays an extremely important role for food and health; and the need is growing rapidly as our climate warms. It is also a vital means to reduce food loss, increase income for farmers and food chain operators and ensure highly nutritious products are available for all.

We are offering a range of refrigeration courses with essential hands-on training in many areas from the best practices for maintaining optimal product temperatures in post-harvest management, to the importance of monitoring the performance of cold chain equipment.

"This isn't just a day in the classroom, come join us and learn from facilitator-led discussions, practical workshops, interactive activities and meet like-minded students."

Introduction to Sustainable Refrigeration for a Cooler World

Introduction to Sustainable Refrigeration for a Cooler World

Building a foundational understanding of refrigeration systems, its role across various industries, and some of the advancements in sustainable and energy-efficient cooling technologies.

Temperature Measurement and Control in Refrigeration

Temperature Measurement and Control in Refrigeration

Temperature is one of the most critical variables in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency in refrigerated environments. In both health and agricultural product handling, improper temperature control can result in spoilage, energy waste, and regulatory non-compliance. This course offers a blend of theory and hands-on practice, enabling participants to develop both the knowledge and skills for temperature management.

Brazing Techniques for Refrigeration Systems

Brazing Techniques for Refrigeration Systems

In the refrigeration industry, the quality of brazed joints is critical. Whether installing or repairing systems, proper brazing ensures leak-free, durable, and efficient performance. It helps prevent refrigerant loss, reduces environmental impact, and supports the safe use of natural refrigerants, which may be flammable or toxic.

Temperature management and monitoring in post-harvest management

Temperature management and monitoring in post-harvest management

Effective post-harvest management is a cornerstone of a resilient and profitable fresh produce supply chain. Amongst the various practices involved, temperature control and monitoring stand out as the first line of defence in preserving quality, safety and reducing losses.

General Health and Safety Course

General Health and Safety Course

Participants will be introduced to essential safety concepts including hazard identification, risk assessment, personal protective equipment (PPE), electrical safety, emergency procedures, and the safe handling of tools and equipment. Emphasis will be placed on practical, real-world applications to ensure participants can confidently implement safety practices across both formal and informal work settings.

Refrigeration Fault Diagnosis & Troubleshooting

Refrigeration Fault Diagnosis & Troubleshooting

As cooling systems become more complex, the ability to quickly and accurately diagnose faults is critical for ensuring optimal system performance, minimizing downtime, reducing operational costs, and maximising energy efficiency. The course incorporates a blend of theoretical instruction and hands-on practical activities, ensuring a holistic learning experience that bridges foundational knowledge with real-world technical application.
